Dr. Wayne H. Smith will talk about and show examples of the index to more than 50 years of deaths recorded in the Ellsworth American he has been compiling. The index includes names, dates, places and comprises some 700 plus pages of data. He will be happy to look for specific names in the index. The work is meant to be an extension of Jean Ward’s index of deaths and marriages up to 1891 taking researchers well into the 20th century.
The Hancock County Genealogical Society meetings are free and open to the public every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:00 am. This month’s meeting will occur virtually on Zoom, please email Charlene at foxtail10000@yahoo.com
