Directions

From Bangor
Take U.S. 1A @ 25.3 mi
After passing the Mill Mall on the right
Take a right at the light onto State St
Ellsworth Public Library will be .6 miles on the right

From Bar Harbor
Take Route 3 off of MDI into Trenton.
Turn Right onto Myrick St (Between Home Depot and Walmart)
Turn Left onto Route 1 / Douglass Highway at light.
Veer right to follow Route one (merges with Route 3) onto High Street
Turn left onto Main St Ellsworth
Turn right onto State St
Destination will be on the left @375 ft

From Bucksport
Take ME-3 E/U.S. 1 N/Acadia Hwy
Cross bridge into Ellsworth and take a left at the light onto State Street.
EPL will be @375 feet on your left.

 

Parking lot mapParking

The Library’s main entrance is located in the historic building on State Street. If you plan to use this entrance, there is parking on State Street or across the street in the City Hall Plaza parking lot (marked 1 on the map).  The City Hall lot has two-hour and all-day parking, so please pay attention to the parking signs, especially during the summer months.  The parking closer Main Street and along the side of State Street is two-hour parking.

The library has limited parking for patrons behind the building, including handicap-accessible spaces (marked 2 on the map). Please note that this parking lot is reserved for patron use only. Groups who are using the meeting room are asked to park across the street.

Other parking options:

  • There is free parking located behind Flex-it on School Street (across the street from Mortons Moo) in the School Street Parking Lot (marked 3 on the map).
  • If you don’t mind a bit of a walk, there is also free all-day parking in the Franklin Street Parking Lot (marked 4 on the map) and the Printinghouse Square Parking Lot (marked 5 on the map).
